It would work perfectly in this open city world, and would in fact increase the realism aspect of the game. It would also benefit them greatly, the more pop. the game, the more moneu they can ask for advertisement, it would give the incentive to constantly improve game just like a monthly fee, but not turn away those who turn away from them. I agree 100% with what your saying i think adverts ingame would meet us half way, i think a pay monthly systrem would loose alot of pre planned players who really cant afford it, it just depends on what the creators want more, money, or players...
I leave it open for disscusion...
