After 5 years pass since your previous gang betrayed you. As you awake from a coma you find that the streets are run by new gangs and running riot as much as they can. You seek out and find a plastic surgeon to change your face and begin your new life on the streets to take back your territory.

You create your house, character and cars as your look is important on the street and respect is a must.

You must seek revenge against your rivals and re-establish your crue to take back the streets you once owned.

The sequel to Saints Row has come along way in complete customization to cars, cribs and appearance. Play in a world of freedom.

I recently got this game(used). Prior to playing this I was a GTA fan. But i played this and the customization is far better (cars, house, character, gang, etc.) and their is much more to do. more vehicles too. GTa does have a better story and slightly better graphics, but overall i think Saints Row 2 is better -if only it had a party mode

First saints row was awesome, haven't played the second but after being royally hacked off with Rockstars 'gritty' and 'realistic' version of my favorite happy-go-lucky murder sim I'm thinking saints row could be the future.

What happened to the days of 'GURANGUA' flashing up on screen when you mowed down a whole group of hari krishnas? GTA has fallen...

GTA, lost what made it fun in the first place, the roaming around doin ur own thing. Now u get called up every second sayin, "Hey Nico, want to go get something to drink?" The cutscenes r long, but dont get me wrong, GTA has a good campaign, its just SR2 has more freedom and customization.

Idk kinda tired cant think of what else to write other than I hate the fact that people consider It a CLONE of GTA. ITS NOT, AT ALL. All it is, is a gang game, thats it a third person gang game. If you want to be that simplistic about saints Row i'll be simplistic about EVERYGAME. You can say anything copied from anything. Wow first person, futuristic, Armor. WOW HALO IS A CLONE OF DOOM (or quake whichever came first) AND then DOOM OR QUAKE IS A COPY OF ONE ANOTHER! NO WAY!!!! BUT WAIT EVEN MORE GENERAL! QUAKE OR DOOM HAS GUNS AND YOU CAN RUN!? WHAT WHAT IS THIS IS THIS A CLONE OF AN SIDESCROLLER YOU BASTARDS. Then The list goes on, think of any other type of game, third person adventure. NO WAY! UNCHARTED STOLE FROM LARA CROFT! THOSE ASSHOLES! do you see how stupid that sounds. Not to mention 3rd person games are honestly what's in now, I could sit here and name you a HUGE VARIETY OF 3RD PERSON GAMES. And if anyone disagrees I will but honestly i'm tired right now.

well, san andreas was a gang game, and so are some of the others. It has customization like Gta, and consists of islands, but, it is much better in everyway but ragdoll effects, driving, and storyline

Alright Ill comment on EVERY one of your statements. San Andreas was a gang game? So was crackdown, so was one of the splinter cell's technically, so was 50 cent, the godfather technically, and so was scarface. And wait I recall a 25 to life game. You cant just say it's a copy of another game with such an ever persistent problem in our country as gangs. Cause hell if anything they should have made more gang games. And just because gta made gangs first means it's a copy? Hell the first and second gta were about mobsters, not gangsters. The customization IS FAR more advanced than GTA. Hell they practically made their own genre of custimization, and because apparently all new games coming out have avatar customization that must mean their clones too right? Who could honestly say in a dream game of theirs you DONT customize their character? Islands really? Apparently because bodies of land makes one game a clone to another, that makes sense. Name one game without a ragdoll effect. Driving has been in games since sidescroller games, DID YOU FORGET ABOUT RACING!? Storyline, what about the storyline, because the two storylines HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH ONE ANOTHER! THEIR NOT EVEN SIMILAR!

well come on be serious, gta was a landmakr in open world freedom games, just when it was at it peak, u see another game with similar idea come out, it had to happen sometime, gta was never always goin to be the only one, im not saying it a clone, and saints row 2 customization isnt the best, it better than gta, but there alot of game swith better customization. Nad serously ther not similar, they are competing titles, their both open world modern day, running from cops bad guy with drugs and hookers game, same concept, just tooken in slightly different directions

I have the game too (Not ATM because i lend it to a friend).
I first played GTA IV, but i think GTA IV is too "serious", so i saw some trailers of Saints Row 2, and i loved it.
