I am a male, and I'll be making both. I just generally like messing around with customization. But I always have the habit of making a female and a male character at least.
I usually even go as far as to try to find the way to make one most resemble the way I look IRL (ok probably a bit more badass, but hey this is the internet) and one the way I think looks most awesome, which will probably be totally not like me.

I am one of those people that would end up spending a lot of time playing with the editor, and probably only play with 2 characters or so in the end.

my wife isnt sure whether she will like this game so id rather her be able to make a female version on my account/game first. so obv i voted for being able to create both

This. Just because I love the creation aspects of games like the Shift and the SVR games, I'll be making a guy and a girl.
