IMO half the fun would be with the politics between rival factions! Im sure theres going to be backstabbing between rival enforcers aswel, between which team makes the arrests and seizures.

Also I guess being an enforcer doesnt necessarily make you a "good" character... Hmm.

Well Enforcers aren't just cops, going on one of the video interviews I saw the other day... dunno where that was, but anyhoo the Dev basically mentions that Enforcers are a wide range of people. You have the police, the FBI agents, the bounty hunters, random guys wanting to clean up the streets, etc. Though I doubt that means anything when it comes to the gameplay itself, it at least shows they aren't just good guys though.

Don't kill civilians most likely, other than that who knows. I'm also kinda curious how cars will be delt with for them. I mean, criminals obviously just stop cars and pull the drivers out, etc. I wonder if enforcers do the same thing, or if they have a 'show badge' skill that forces people out of their car because you're a cop or some such. Granted they both amount of the same thing, but still. :P

Just been reading an E3 impressions, and thought this bit was interesting enough to copy over here:

"Instead of a traditional MMO that has you questing across a mythic fantasy land, APB drops you inside a massive city and lets you choose whether or not you want to be a Criminal or an Enforcer, and the only thing that separates the two is that one wears a badge. Both cops and robbers can be tatted-up, leather-wearing, firearm-brandishing hardasses who blow people away on a daily basis. If you’re a Criminal, you try to commit dirty deeds like robbing banks and killing Enforcers, and Enforcers try to maintain the peace by stopping Criminals with extreme prejudice.

We weren’t shown anything live in-game, everything was running off a video, and the gameplay has a fairly traditional GTA open world feel to it. There’s a lot of gunplay and driving, and yes, you can run pedestrians or opponents down. We didn’t get to see the promised bank heists just yet, although crime will definitely be a part of the game. Criminals have the option of taking out other criminals, teaming up with them, or fighting the Enforcers, while Enforcers only face off against Criminals."

Bank heists! That should be tons of fun, and apparently Enforcers don't get to fight other Enforcers. Not sure whether I think thats a good or bad thing, for me personally mind. I'm forced to wait and see! Hmph.

The enforcers rules I think will be more guidelines, this is from the company who made crackdown and there was more than a little collateral damage even when playing as a 'good' guy. I think it likely that there will be NPC 'super enforcers' or something who will keep the enforcers in check if they start indiscriminately killing. Yeah the odd pedestrian will catch a stray bullet or get knocked down by a squad car but I think if you rack up enough collateral then the enforcers will have to be punished.

Would also make sense for the enforcers to not kill one another, yeah theres always rivalry's in films but they never all out kill one another. I think the enforcers will have to be a lot more cunning, if they can communicate across factions it could cause some interesting situations. Meetings in dark alleys with criminals to give them tip offs or point out fellow enforcers for them to attack? Could be some interesting unsteady alliances made.

Well hopefully none of this explosive action doesn't cause lagg-out lagg or meltdown or decrease in FPS, (Frame Per Second). Because i own a 9800 GTX, and i love to turn the settings on very high. But anywho, i might be a gang person because the cops seem more repetitive and constant. The cops do have some control over the streets, including the PHQ (police Headquarters)!
