Well, I don´t worry so much about getting the game famous. Imho it´s better to start out with a small community that grows up with the time. The more ppl are coming to this game in early stages, the less you can´t make it right to everyone as a dev (sorry if this sentence is a litte messed up, it´s 5 o´clock in the morning x_x ). However the worst thing you can do as dev in my opinion is to try to make the game fit to everyone, you know what I mean?
There were a couple of games which tried it, but nearly all failed.
You have to stick to your basic idea of the game.

Imho there are only three things which can make it disappointing for me:
1. Item shop, if there´s anything else I hate more than that, it´s probably cheating but Item shops are legal cheating imho. Can´t stand buying yourself advantages with real money.
2. Bad netcode. A game can be perfect but with a messed up netcode it will not live very long.
3. No european servers. Would be the least point I care of, but no european servers means for me I have to play with a bad bad ping. And that really sucks.
Everything else is good like it is, and if it plays itself like it looks, they don´t have to worry about the players. They will come. Think about alls the GTA-Fans and stuff.

gp, but the thing is gta is known, apb isnt well known, and if its not too popular like soem other were, it could die in months

Yeah, you are right but let the game be half as good as it is announced to be. It can also rise to everyones favourite as GTA did with its first (or was it the second?) part.

This for sure. I can't even tell you how annoying it is to have people who are "good players" because they can spend tons of money while people who don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a character are screwed. I would actually prefer a monthly fee rather than an item shop... Just my opinion though.

And I say don't worry about the game getting well known. So long as things play out the way they've been said they would then there will be no problem. Reviews will be made, game sites will talk about it, people will recommend it. Games like APB won't stay hidden, if everything is as amazing as we believe it will be then APB will become very problem, I can guarantee you.

We just need to keep talking about it and keeping up with it. Play some beta, all that good stuff.
